How To Connect Entourage to Microsoft Online Services

The following tutorial will show you how to setup Microsoft Online Services for your MAC running Entourage 2004 and Entourage 2008.

 Use Entourage with Microsoft Online Services

Before you begin: If you are connecting Microsoft Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008 to a new Microsoft Online Services account, you must change your Microsoft Online Services temporary password before beginning this procedure. You can change your temporary password in My Company Portal.

 

Software requirements: Macintosh OS X 10.4 and Entourage 2004 11.5.3 or Entourage 2008 12.1.5.

 

Note

The following procedure applies only to users who are not using the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application for Mac. The Sign In application for Mac automatically configures Entourage to work with Microsoft Online Services.

 

 

To connect Entourage to Microsoft Online Services

  1. In Entourage, on the Entourage menu, click Account Settings.

  2. In the Accounts window, click New.

  3. In the New Account window, in the Account type list, select Exchange, and then click Setup Assistant.

  4. In the Account Setup Assistant window, select the My account is on an Exchange server check box, and then click Configure Account Manually.

  5. In the Edit Account window, in the E-mail address box, type the address you use to sign in to the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application.

  6. In Entourage 2004:

    • In the Account ID box, type your Security Accounts Manager (SAM) name.

      To find your SAM name, see Find Your Security Accounts Manager (SAM) Name.

    • In the Domain box, type the domain for your area:

      North America (NOAM)

      Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)

    In Entourage 2008:

    • In the Account ID box, type the e-mail address you used in step 5.
  7. In the Exchange server box, type your Outlook Web Access address, plus /exchange/, plus the service e-mail address you used in step 5.

An example of an entire Microsoft Exchange Server address for someone with an e-mail address of This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   8. Select the This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) check box.

  9. Click OK.
